The UK’s leading timber and panel products distributor, James Latham, has reported great success at this year’s W6 exhibition.
The stand, which exhibited LG HI-MACS, Global thermo-formed product and Latham’s Bausen hardwood flooring range, was shortlisted for the Furnicom Innovation Award which was judged by celebrity designer, Linda Barker.
Over 200 companies from across the UK and Eire visited the stand resulting in many enquiries, not only about the products showcased but also regarding other timber and panel products from Lathams.
The stand comprised of a thermo-formed table at the stand, showing how a single sheet of LG HI-MACS can be shaped into multiple curves, and two thermo-formed stools with Perspex tops, highlighting how the Natural Acrylic Stone product can work with other materials.
Designed and produced by Mark Robinson of Solid Surfaces Northwest, the table and stools attracted a lot of interest and discussion, as did a vanity top and bowl which was pressed from one sheet of LG HI-MACS, produced by Spanish company, Global Vacuum Presses.
Lathams LG product manager, Steve Robinson, commented: "We’ve had another fantastic exhibition showcasing this versatile product, and we were very pleased with the interest from visitors. This was the second time that LG HI-MACS has been exhibited in conjunction with Bausen Flooring, and the two quality products work well together with the rich tone of solid wood complimenting the bright, clean looking finish of LG HI-MACS."
He continued: "It was an honour to be shortlisted for the award and for our product to be complimented by Linda and the judges. The exhibition was extremely worthwhile for us and I am confident that much of the interest will be converted into lucrative orders."
