The UK’s leading timber and panel products distributor, James Latham, is pleased to announce that it is now stocking WISA®-FJ-Lam from UPM.

WISA®-FJ-Lam is a semi-finished component designed for joinery manufacturers and is ideal for use in timber windows and doors. It is made from joinery grade finnish redwood that is PEFC certified and has been defect-optimised and finger-jointed .

It is available in a wide range of sizes, and non standard sizes can be manufactured to order. The maximum length is 6.0m, with the width of the lamells reaching 150mm and thicknesses of up to 900mm.

WISA®-FJ-Lam is a cost saving material as the increased stability eliminates distortion, and few splits or shakes results in greatly reduced waste. It is also supplied as component sizes so there is no need for re-sawing, while there is minimal shrinkage and swelling means no defect filling is required.
