The UK’s longest established timber and panel products distributor, James Latham, has strengthened its offering of a wide range of hardwood timbers by securing a storage contract with Denholm at its regional distribution unit in Kirkby.

Lathams has signed a three-year lease with Denholm, meaning the company can use the dedicated hardwood timber store to stock its supplies when they arrive in the UK. Denholm will then deliver to the UK-wide depots and customers when the timber is required.

The company has worked with Denholm for many years but this is the first time a contract of this length has been signed. Lathams director, Chris Sutton, commented: "The facility at Kirkby is an invaluable tool for Lathams because it means we can provide a more efficient service to our customers. It allows us to stock an extensive range of hardwoods, which can be distributed to the depots and direct to customers when necessary."
