250 Year Round Up

Logo2007 has been an eventful year for James Latham and a very special one indeed as it was the year the business marked its 250th anniversary.

There are not many businesses in the World, let alone the UK that can lay claim to a being a quarter of a century old, let alone a quarter of a millennium!

In recognition of 250 years, Lathams has been extremely busy with activities all around the business including a special commemorative Copse that was established in the New Forest, Derbyshire, where two hundred and fifty oak trees were planted.

A special prize draw was also held where 250 lucky staff and customers won a limited edition signed copy of "Trees that Shape the World" by Tom Petherick.

Other 250th celebrations included special events around all the depots, including a hog roast evening at Dudley Castle and a go-karting day at Eastleigh.

All in all, 2007 has been a wonderful year for James Latham and a huge thank you goes out to all the loyal staff and customers for making Latham’s both a success and a great place to work – here’s to the next 250 years!
