Over 100 customers and 25 suppliers recently attended an event to celebrate the 1st birthday of timber and panel products distributor James Latham’s Scottish site.
Although the company boasts a 252 year history, the Scottish depot which is based just off the M8 at Eurocentral opened its doors in 2008 and hasn’t looked back since.
David Landsburgh, who heads up the operation, commented: "The event proved to be a fantastic showcase for the company and its products. The support from our suppliers was fantastic - with some travelling from as far a field as Italy and Holland - not to mention our chairman Peter Latham who travelled the 400 miles from London!"
"The Latham Group Company, Advanced Technical Panels (ATP), displayed their plywood based products targeted at the commercial vehicle building, playground, sports ground and the construction market."
"Additionally, a number of demonstrations were held throughout the day including presentations from our suppliers Sika and Bona on how easy it is to lay our Bausen flooring using a no nails gluing system, alongside how to finish untreated floors. We also had our own HI-MACS team present to demonstrate the fabrication techniques of the acrylic solid surfacing product - which proved highly popular."
"The highlight of the day was for twenty of our lucky customers whose names were drawn from a hat. The winners were treated to a helicopter ride over Glasgow and the surrounding area - they were thrilled!"
"All in all, the event was superb and we’ve already had some fantastic feedback from both customers and suppliers."
