Bausen high quality flooring was recently supplied to Sykes (Purston) ltd, who used it in the construction of a new bar at the Xscape ski/snowboard complex in Castleford. Supplied to the company was 120 panels of Bausen in rustic oak for The Loft, a new bar and nightclub which was designed, constructed, and is part-owned by Sykes ltd. The stunning, 5,000 sq ft venue spans two floors, with the Bausen wooden floors, leather sofas and the exposed brick walls creating a sophisticated, contemporary atmosphere. A representative for Bausen commented “We have a close working relationship with Sykes, having supplied them with our products many times before, so it was a great pleasure to be able to help them with this exciting new business venture. Sykes has a great reputation for quality workmanship, which is demonstrated in The Loft, and the end result is striking.” Bausen, which is fast becoming the market leader in this quality sector, was an ideal choice for the project. Flooring species available include Canadian maple and American black walnut, and the range of oil-finished oak makes it suitable for all sorts of interior design projects for the hospitality and leisure sector.
