UK timber importer and distributor James Latham plc has reported a six per cent increase in operating profits for the half year to September 2009, despite difficult trading conditions across the sector.  Operating profit for the six months to 30 September 2009 was £3,352,000, up from £3,167,000 for the same period last year and revenue was at £58,203,000.
